IVF Women’s Circle

Fertility Support maintains an online therapy group to support women going through IVF. Our IVF Circle offers women a safe space to share their emotions, reducing feelings of isolation. It also provides an opportunity to process difficult feelings such anxiety and grief. The circle offers a platform for participants to gain insights from others, empowering them to navigate the challenges of IVF with resilience and a strong sense of solidarity.

IVF Is a Challenging Experience

IVF is a complex and emotionally challenging process, one that can take a toll on a woman's mental health. Women undergoing IVF often experience difficult emotions such as stress, anxiety, sadness, and frustration. The incidence of these emotions is high: a recent study, which surveyed 1,300 fertility patients in the UK, found that 90% of respondents feel depressed, 40% had experienced suicidal feelings, with 10% struggling with suicidal thoughts often or all the time. These emotions can be triggered by the physical demands of the treatment, the emotional strain of dealing with infertility, and the uncertainty of the outcome.

Fertility Support’ IVF Women’s Circle Helps Women Understand IVF’s Emotional Impact and How to Manage their Wellbeing Accordingly

Fertility Support maintains a therapy group to help women process emotions arising from an IVF treatment and to develop the tools and strategies needed to manage such emotions. Our IVF Women’s Circle provides a safe and understanding space where women can openly share their emotions, fears, and experiences with others who are going through a similar journey. This sense of community can help alleviate feelings of isolation and provide much-needed empathy and support. Additionally, our therapy group allows participants to share coping strategies and tools to manage stress, anxiety, and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with fertility treatments. The group setting can also provide a platform for learning from others' experiences, gaining valuable insights, and building resilience. Ultimately, our IVF Women’s Circle aims to empower women to navigate the challenges of IVF with resilience and a strong sense of solidarity.
