Areas of interest: couples therapy, same-sex couples, donor conception
Ruth is a trained couple and family therapist registered with the Association of Family Therapy and UKCP. She has worked for over 15 years with couples presenting with a range of emotional and relational struggles.
Couple psychotherapy gives clients the opportunity and the space to talk about their struggles as a couple. Without blaming or judging, Ruth helps her clients understand the complexities of their relationship, making sense of their concerns within the context of them as a couple and as separate individuals. She offers warmth and compassion, alongside a rigorous attention to the detail of what her clients bring. She has a particular interest and expertise in working with same-sex couples.
Alongside her psychotherapy practice, Ruth delivered workshops for many years for the Donor Conception Network, the UK’s leading charity offering support and advice to donor conception families. She has been able to support hundreds of people to explore the kaleidoscope of feelings they may have about creating a family through donor conception.
Ruth is based in Bristol and offers therapy both in person and online.
