Zoë Sanders
PGDip in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, Certificate in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, Graduate Certificate in Theory and Skills of Psychodynamic Couple and Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy, Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (WPF), MBACP
Areas of interest: Fertility, pregnancy, couple communication
Zoë’s sessions offer time and space to help individuals process the complex emotions arising from a difficult fertility journey. She also works with couples to help them establish healthier, more constructive communication during a fertility journey.
She is particularly interested in the parenting lifecycle, from pre-conception, through to pregnancy, the early years and beyond. She helps individuals and couples to navigate associated challenges, such as deciding whether or when to start a family, intimacy issues, fertility problems, miscarriage, post-natal depression and different approaches to parenting.
She provides a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk and think together about how past experiences might be unconsciously affecting the present. She uses a variety of methods and favours an active, fluid and positive psychotherapeutic approach.
Zoë has worked for many years as a medical writer for the NHS and websites such as Baby Centre and Johnson & Johnson. She provides evidence-based patient content, primarily about child and adult mental health, assisted conception, pregnancy and parenting.
She is experienced in working with same-sex couples and enjoys interacting with clients from a variety of demographic and cultural backgrounds.
Zoë is trained to work with couples and individuals. She holds a PGDip in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Tavistock Relationships), a Certificate in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (CPPD), a Graduate Certificate in Theory and Skills of Psychodynamic Couple and Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of East London) and additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (WPF) and online counselling and psychotherapy (ACTO).
