Area of interest: Fertility, secondary infertility, impact of fertility on men, surrogacy
Mischa specialises in working with people who face difficulty, distress or loss in their effort to have a child.
Infertility affects a staggering number of people, yet for each person it is deeply personal and uniquely encountered. Conveying your experience and how it is affecting you, in a way that feels anywhere near adequate, can seem impossible.
Having life ‘on hold’ in relation to something so pivotal, and sitting with such uncertainty, can be frightening and frustrating. When the next stage of the life you envisioned gets delayed or becomes ambiguous, your sense of self, identity and purpose can suffer.
It is rare to have a space where you are really heard and understood - with empathy, with honesty, and without judgement. The experience can be unexpectedly transformative.
Mischa is a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). She trained for five years at Metanoia Institute in London and has extensive experience working with fertility and pregnancy-related issues.
She works with clients online and in-person, offering both short and longer term psychotherapeutic counselling.
