Somatic Release

Somatic release refers to practices and techniques that focus on the connection between the body and mind to help individuals release stored tension and trauma from their bodies. It emphasizes the physical aspect of emotional experiences, recognizing that emotions can manifest physically and that resolving these physical manifestations can lead to emotional healing. Forms of somatic release include acupuncture, reflexology, breathwork and yoga.

  • Ross Barr is a fertility and women's health expert and registered acupuncturist. A member of the British Acupuncture Council and graduate of the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Ross has over the past decade earned a reputation as one of the foremost practitioners in his field.

    Celebrated for both his warm approach and the results he achieves, his work is regularly featured in the national press and has made him the acupuncturist of choice in both the fashion and beauty industries. He is regarded as one of the country's leading and trusted fertility specialists.

    Ross has developed a range of food state supplements and natural patches designed to support everyday health and wellness for men and women.

  • Anabel Cutler is an experienced practitioner in reflexology and reiki. Accredited by the Association of Reflexologists, she has a particular interest in fertility, maternity and women’s health. Through her versatile approach she treats a variety of ailments, offering restorative treatments to support and nurture women, men and children through all life’s challenges.

    A graduate of Cambridge University, Anabel was formerly a journalist and editor for titles including, The Times, The Daily Mail and ELLE Decoration. She tested out and wrote about hundreds of complementary and alternative therapies. She became fascinated with how reflexology worked eventually training at Regents College. She has further qualifications in maternity reflexology, and The Zone Face Lift (facial reflexology). She is a trained Jivamukti yoga teacher.

  • Rebecca Dennis is an author and international breath and body coach. Her expertise and passion centres around breathwork, trauma release, somatic modalities, polyvagal theory and nervous system regulation. She works 121 and facilitates workshops, events and retreats internationally.  Further, she has written three books. Her latest books Let It Go and Breathe–A Practical Guide To Breathwork were featured in the Sunday Times Best Sellers.

    She collaborates with corporations such as WW, Nivea, L’Oreal, Sweaty Betty, BBC, Stylist Magazine, Renew Life and has been positively reviewed by Vogue, GQ Magazine, Tatler, The Times, Bazaar, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Grazia, and ITV’s This Morning, among other publications. 

  • Hannah Pearn runs an integrated and fertility focused acupuncture and holistic therapy practice including four clinics across London. She and her team, who have over 50 years of experience between them, specialise in both natural and assisted conception support. Hannah’s team of practitioners hold the Advanced Level Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture or are currently undergoing this most rigorous of qualifications. Alongside acupuncture, they offer nutrition and reflexology and have a private fertility nurse as part of the team.

    Hannah also hosts the award nominated Don’t Tell Me To RELAX fertility podcast and runs a fertility support community by the same name.

  • Laura Wilkes is a yoga teacher and women’s health expert. She has a holistic, body-based approach to women’s health that focuses on releasing the build-up of stress and tension that is stored inside the body.

    Using Yin Yoga and TRE®, Laura works with the body to relax the nervous system and help naturally release the unconscious tension that is rooted in stress and trauma.  She creates safe and welcoming classes and programs to support women to manage and release stress.


Gynaecological and Fertility Advice

  • Miss Claire Mellon & Associates is a leading Gynaecology and Obstetric practice based at The Portland Hospital in London. It offers a broad range of services, including general check ups, management of gynaecological conditions and the menopause, fertility check-ups, early pregnancy assessments and sexual health checks.

    Miss Mellon is the Obstetric lead at the practice. Miss Mellon graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1988 (MBCHB) and became a fully qualified member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2001.

    Outside of her practice work, she is a trustee for Wellbeing of Women, a charity that raises funds for research into Women’s Health. She is the principal investigator for the international Bayer trials for the medical management of fibroids. At the Whittington Hospital she is the Medical Lead for Female Genital Mutilation, as well as the Obstetric Ward Lead. Miss Mellon is passionate about teaching and was previously Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Whittington Hospital for medical students.

  • Emma Whitney, aka @emmatheembryologist, is Director of Embryology and Genetics at a renowned fertility clinic in London. With nearly 20 years of practical IVF laboratory experience, Emma specialises in pre-implantation genetic testing of embryos with a passion to prevent the transmission of inherited genetic disease and enhancing the capabilities of embryo selection.

    Emma’s commitment to genetics, coupled with her multitude of experiences allows for a pragmatic and honest approach when discussing embryology. Emma believes IVF patients should have the opportunity to understand what goes on in an IVF lab. Her commitment to genetics, coupled with her multitude of experience, helps patients alleviate some of the stress and anxiety caused by so many unknowns.


Nutrition

  • Natasha Evans is a Registered Nutritional Therapist specialising in Fertility. Natasha has extensive training in nutrition, nutrigenomics, and health coaching, which enables her to offer a holistic, 360-degree approach to fertility, with optimizations across diet, lifestyle, environment, and supplementation. She has been featured in the Tatler Address Book and on multiple podcasts and panels. Her expertise is sought after, leading to contributions to Channel 4, SheerLuxe, Women's Health, Woman & Home, OK! Magazine, and Metro.

  • Alison Hall provides compassionate support to couples and individuals navigating challenging fertility journeys. With a specialist interest and extensive experience in supporting those affected by miscarriage, her goal is to identify and support risk factors that may have contributed to their journey, empower her clients to regain control of their bodies.  Alison lectures & mentors nutritionists in this field.

  • Sarah Nash is a Registered Nutritional Therapist & Fertility Practitioner.  She helps women get to the root cause of their PCOS so they can learn to manage their symptoms, restore balance through personalised nutrition, lifestyle recommendations and targeted supplementation. 

  • Jen Walpole is a registered Nutritional Therapist that splits her time between her Notting Hill clinic and online clients. It was Jen's own health struggles that led her to Nutritional Therapy. What began as a passion for healthy eating and living, led Jen to study for a three-year Naturopathic Nutrition diploma at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine. Jen uses a functional, evidence-based and personalised approach to nutrition that focuses on the individual whilst incorporating lifestyle factors. She has a keen interest in fertility and hormone balance, typically working with clients that are experiencing irregular menstrual cycles, have been diagnosed with PCOS, endometriosis or couples that have difficulty conceiving and are considering their next steps, whether that be via natural conception or IVF.


Legal Advice and Advocacy

  • Jody Day founded in 2011 Gateway Women, the global support and advocacy network for childless women. She is also the author of what many professionals consider to be the ‘go-to’ book on the topic, Living the Life Unexpected: How to Find Hope, Meaning and a Fulfilling Future Without Children,

    Chosen as a UK Digital Woman of the Year in 2021, she’s a global thought leader on female involuntary childlessness, a psychotherapist, a 2017 and 2022 TEDx speaker, a founding and former board member at the UK Charity Ageing Without Children and a former Fellow in Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge Business School. Often referred to as the founder of the ‘childless movement’ and less often, but more memorably as ‘the Beyoncé of childlessness’, she has been an Ambassador for World Childless Week since its inception in 2017.

  • Natalie Sutherland is a specialist family law solicitor and Partner at Burgess Mee Family Law. She spearheads the firm’s modern family department where she deals with surrogacy, assisted reproduction law including donor conception and platonic co-parenting as well as advising clients on the whole spectrum of family law issues.

    Natalie is a member of the Board of Trustees of Progress Educational Trust (PET) and sits on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Individual and Family Identity (CIFI).

    Natalie is also co-founder of In/Fertility in the City where she co-hosts a podcast and runs events designed to explore the complex relationship between in/fertility and work and how to manage this effectively.

    Natalie was the winner of the Woman of the Year award at the inaugural Women and Diversity in Law Awards in March 2023.
